Prayer

The Criswell Center is a place for prayer

"Go back! Back to that upper room; back to our knees; back to searching of heart and habit, thought, and life; back to pleading, praying, waiting, till the Spirit of the Lord floods the soul with light, and you are 'endued with power from on hight.' Then go forth..." -Samuel Chadwick

Of all God’s majestic ways, prayer is the powerful gift that allows us to speak to His heart, from our heart. There is something about the very act of prayer that draws us to stillness and openness, then refreshes us to “go forth” with new hope.

The most striking and unique element of the Criswell Center is the Prayer Tower. Rising eight stories above the streets of Dallas, this glass fixture becomes a lighthouse of hope for the church and the city.

Through prayer, people will know the power of God to change hearts.

Through prayer, people will intercede for those in need of His fresh touch.

Through prayer, people will go forth for generations as God’s light shines into our lives and out to our community.

May the Criswell Center, through God’s people, serve as His lighthouse of hope to our world. “…for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:7
